Dr Carin and Johann Claassen
Johann and Carin Claassen are a married couple with 4 daughters and a passion for training. Hereby a summary of their qualifications, expertise and vision.
Dr Carin qualified in 1991 from the University of Pretoria as a Medical Doctor and eversince has been involved in Emergency Medical Training especially in the pre-hospital field and working actively in the field. She is a qualified instructor for the following American courses since these courses were introduced into our country for the first time:
ACLS EP Instructor (ACLS for Experienced Providers) and Course Director
ATLS Instructor (Advanced Trauma Life Support)
ACLS Instructor (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and Course Director
PALS Instructor (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and Course Director
BLS Instructor and Instructor Trainer
ITLS Instructor (International Trauma Life Support) and Course Director
Johann qualified as a Business Engineer in 1982 and made a career change in 1996 when he studied and qualified as an Ndip Paramedic, at that time the top qualification in the pre-hospital field in SA. He is an instructor for the following American courses:

PALS Instructor (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BLS Instructor and Instructor Trainer
ITLS Instructor (International Trauma Life Support)
For 10 years he trained paramedics and is well known in the pre-hospital environment as one of the top paramedics in the country and highly respected in the field with an enormous amount of experience, not only on the road but also in aero-medical transfer of patients.

Claassen and Claassen Training received the Top Organisation Award for the training centre that is recognised for its hard work and dedication to the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa. Dr Carin Claassen received the Key Contributor Award for the Advanced Life Support training centre coordinator who embodies the management of instructors and goes out of their way to ensure their TC standards are upheld
