Description
Paediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilisation (PEARS)
Treating infants and children requires specialised training, techniques and equipment. This course covers the management of cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies and shock in paediatric victims.
Requirements:
Nursing staff, Intermediate and Basic Life Support Paramedics, as well as final year students in these fields can attend the course. A valid AHA BLS or Resus Council CPR for Professionals Certificate pre-entry requirement and a BLS / CPR for Professionals course will be presented prior to the course if necessary.

Test:
There is an official exam at the beginning and end of the course.
Certificate:
On successful completion, each candidate receives a certificate which is valid for 2 years which is internationally recognised.
CPD points:
9CPD (CEU) points for PEARS and 11 for BLS or CPR for Professionals (5)
Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 4 weeks prior to the course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course.
