Description
Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
The course is aimed at the learners practicing life-saving skills all the time, using basic and advanced equipment.
Requirements:
Registered doctors, nursing staff and advanced and intermediate life support paramedics, as well as final year students in these fields can attend the course. A valid AHA certificate (ACLS/PALS/BLS) is a pre-entry requirement and a BLS course will be presented prior to the course if necessary.
Duration:
PALS 2 Days 8-18h00.
BLS 6 hrs if required.
Contents:
• Basic and Advanced Airway Management
• Cardiac arrest
• Respiratory emergencies
• Shocked paediatric victims
Test:
There is an official exam at the beginning of the course.
Certificate:
On successful completion, each candidate receives a certificate which is valid for 2 years and internationally recognised.
CPD points:
30 CPD (CEU) points for PALS and 11 for BLS.
Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 4 weeks prior to the course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course.
