Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (Pretoria) The course is aimed at the learners practicing CPR and AED skills all the time, using advanced equipment eg bag-valve-mask resuscitators. Requirements: Any health care provider can attend the course. Learners should receive the prescribed manual at least 1 week prior to the course in order to prepare and benefit maximal from the course. Duration: ± 6 Hours (Excluding tea breaks) Contents: CPR on Adults, children and babies Choking in adults, children and babies Skills practicing, using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Test: There is an official exam and testing of CPR skills and using an AED at the end of the course. Certificate: On successful completion, each candidate receives a certificate which is valid for 2 years and internationally recognised. CPD points: 11 CPD (CEU) points for BLS.
